where did you find those? Is that housing plastic, or metal?

The housing is plastic, connectors and body are sealed against moisture.
Think I bought them from a trailer supplier like:

they are also more shallow than a incandescent type housing

These are what I have been running in my 3B for 4+ decades. They were originally incandescent but the now have Super Bright LED's.
