Bad Ignition Switch

I am about to do the first start of my sniper efi, but the handheld keeps rebooting when I turn the key to start. At first I thought I had the lead to a switch post that has no power at “start” position, but I checked it and it does. I have also realized that the “amp” light flicker by jiggling the key in the “run” position and can hear relays clicking and I clicking when I do this.

when I check continuity on the switch, there is a dead spot between run and start positions….I think this is where it reboots.

bad switch? A fix I can do without waiting for new switch. This is not a restoration so if it is a new switch any ideas on part?
    Thanks

It might be normal for a discontinuity between run and start.

When I changed my switch there are two different parts (mirror image) for with or without the tilt steering column.

Well I bypassed it and got the sniper to run…
I did some googling and seems this is a problem for some old switches and the Holley since the dead spot never really mattered pre computers.
