    michigan_pinstripes I'm not lost, I'm wandering

I was thinking the same thing recently. Go to a fabric store for some leather or nauga-beast to sew up a nice looking soft boot.

I like Dukes idea, if someone here works with leather I see a small business venture. I'd be willing to buy one for both shifters, but I'm not making my own, I just don't feel like sticking a needle in my finger that much. Now Patrick thats a different story all together.:D

I may be wrong, but I thought Dan (48flattie) had a small leather shop.

I've done some. Made a couple of holsters and knife sheaths. Real
basic stuff. Got all the tools.

John, was it you who posted a pic of a home leather shop? Someone did a while back, just not sure who it was.

I made a couple out of leather -- got the leather for free at a local funiture refinishing shop (scrap bin). Made a triangular template out of cardboard, and made both three and four sided boots. Sewed 'em up with the Singer and shes lookin' great.

Triangle parts had about 1/2 hole in top and I added about 3/4 to the bottom to fit between the mounting plate and the tranny tunnel.
