Book Project

To be honest there's a part of me that doesn't want to release it...

But I've written enough to learn that if I'm not a little bit scared to pull the trigger it probably isn't worth reading.

 

Finalized stats:

• 320 pages
• 126 chapters
• 34 states
• 124 cities/locations
• 498 photos

I started writing the guts of this ~ 3 years ago...

 

Files uploaded to Amazon. Just had to tweak the cover slightly to get the green light....

Proof copy ordered....

Why yes I'll pay extra for 2-day shipping....

 

Proof received. Crap color print job by Amazon. Reviews say they can be all over the board quality-wise. Many photos have large vertical stripes in them. But all my margin and bleed settings were right.

It's rewarding to (finally) hold it in my hands all as the correctly-size book with the cover in place. The photos that printed right look great. I saw complaints of photos printing too dark and I was worried I'd have to trade a bunch out.

I took another read through and found a dozen or so small errors. MsBoyink is taking another pass and I see ~20 post it notes sticking out of it already. Crazy what you miss.

But I don't want reviews that say "poorly formatted, lots of errors" etc.

Cross your fingers...might have made a deal to get the book into a string of RV dealers.
