One of those days was yesterday! Scored an 8200 finally along with a slightly older one with a band type brake locally. Stoked! May need to refer back to this thread for motor options.

Love the pics, interesting seeing the transformation that warn was doing to the belleview at that time. oldtime was looking for a belleview a few months back if you interested in selling it.

I could be. Right now it's just a parts winch. The 8200 needs the free spool lever, although I'm told by Brennan he'll have a replacement for that available soon along with the brake lever he already has. It will need a motor as the armature is completely missing from the case on this one. I haven't had it apart yet to see how complete (or incomplete) it is yet. The 8200 so far looks complete as is.

Not to much can happen. unless it's full of mush or water, have you opened the lower fill/ drain and see what comes out, catch it and pour into a plastic cup. gears inside are heavy duty if I am remembering correctly. 20170417_160022.jpg All the bearings, seals are still avail at your local bearing house, the plastic bushings I ordered from MSC and had the one shortened by a friend at work.

The guy I bought them from said he changed the oil in them and that's as far as he got. So... The oil should be fresh. I'll have to "split the case" to really know anything at this point. Was planning to do that anyway. Not sure if I want to polish the cases up and paint steel parts, or just give everything a good cleaning and re-assemble. Will probably end up being a combination of paint and cleaning.
