Is This An O.e. Jack?

That is where my windshield hold down strap is but the strap itself looks a bit different.

 

This is what the windshield strap on mine looks like when it's strapped down to the hood.

IIRC, the M38A1 (MB, GPW...) jacks weres very similar, but not exactly the same as the civilian. Originals are valuable/collectible.
