7A5F1EF3-C29F-4FCB-9149-397CD10EC782.jpeg I need some wisdom. So these frame plates weld to the outside of the frame. Will they provide good reinforcement/stiffness? Are you supposed to use these in conjunction with an already boxed frame or can you weld these on to an open C channel frame? This seems like a much much easier option than boxing the frame seeing as I wouldn’t have to take the body off haha

My thought is they are positioned on the outside of the frame.

You should really ask your questions to the seller .

Yes they do weld to the outside of the frame.

I figured I would ask here for an unbiased opinion from multiple sources(y)

Do you need them? Is your frame broken now?

Cracked in a couple spots up front around the front crossmember and steering box which I need to get fixed. I just want some extra strength cause I tend to beat on this Jeep a bit if you can tell from my profile picture haha

It seems to me beefing the frame webbing wouldn't help the flanges nearly as much as boxing or welding straps to the flanges. There are a few specific areas these frames Crack. Around the steering gear and spring mounts. And front cab mounts for instance. That's likely where you're cracked. If properly welded and plated, you'll be in good shape for years.

What exactly does frame strapping look like? I can’t find a good picture online and am confused. I would like to just box the frame but I don’t have the time or money to take off the body to do it unfortunately
