P/s Brackets

Thinking of going to power steering. Do these brackets look right for the 225?

First off you need a third much harder to find piece those bracket bolt to.

second those bracket will work, but they put your pump way out which will cause interference with the fender, which is fine if you are willing to clearance the fender a bit.

this post was very helpful when I was sorting this very problem out. If you still want those eBay brackets pm me because I just took a set off my Jeep I have no use for.
Ps Pump Woes

 

You need a high mount Buick power steering bracket for a 350 or smaller engine. There a Jeep supply vender making the other bracket out of metal that copies the cast piece Buick used. There is someone marking those brackets too.

 

There was a complete set here for sale last week.

Just keep poking around. You’ll find one.

 

Those are what I have, off of a 71 skylark, 350. The cast aluminum piece is what is missing from the ebay ad, but they turn up occasionally.

These brackets look like some on that thread I posted, but I was too hesitant to pull the trigger. Plus I had already routed my steering shaft and I think this one puts the pump much lower.
