Actually if it was one of the new JLs she would probably more than satisfied. Unfortunately then you're talking $$$$.

Best deal I have found around here is $18,299 for an 04'. That actually isn't too bad for this area. It has a 4.5" lift and 35's. Now to convince her that is the one we "need".

I found what seems to be a good deal on a 04' Rubicon but it is a manual transmission. Going to test it tomorrow to see how I like it. Can't be as hard to shift as my old SM 465.

I think you should stay with original plan . find one with the auto . I am sure she will like it better

Drove it and so did my wife. Pretty easy to drive but think I'll try an automatic. Plus he was asking $15,000 with 140,000. I like the D44's and 4:1 transfer case but not sure it was worth the money

I'm looking at the exact same thing right now but in Texas... for my daughter. My daughter wants a manual tho. The prices in Texas are cheap enough that I would look there and drive it back or ship it back. Do you want a TJ or a JK? Lot's of TJ's for under $13k with under 100k miles.

I'll take this one please. I can add a small lift and some 35's for a little more. Where do you want me to send the money? :D Just need to make sure the A/C blows cold and it will pass Ca smog.
I really like the 1st one you posted but a little on the high end of the budget.

have you looked for an '05 TJ unlimited (LJ)?

No, LJ's seems to be really expensive. Know of one that is a good deal? I did find one I really like on another forum and with everything that has been done to it it would be worth the money. Unfortunately it is in Utah.

Pretty nice blue one in Santa Clarita but has a salvage title. Is that more expensive to insure?

Always liked that color. My previous boss's husband has one in it.

Mileage-wise I think I'm at 51K on my '00...:). Only put 2K on it in the last year.
