How does the center hole look against some warn hubs?

Fits and looks great with the old style Warn hubs:

I'll probably keep the chrome closed-end lug nuts and I'll probably put the white lettering out again.

Since I was screwing around, I grabbed one of the 34x9.50x15 Swampers off the flatfender:

The tall/skinnys sure look good. But not practical because:
    • Bias Swampers are terrible tires on the street and these particular ones are probably 30 years old.
    • The turning radius would be terrible.
    • The D27 in the front won't like it.
    • The manual Ross box won't like it.
    • A 3.73 geared Dauntless with a T-14 will have a hard time turning them. Low range isn't low enough already.

    Interesting supply chain example.

When I was getting this Jeep ready for the Early CJ5 2020 Colorado trip, I discovered my clutch linkage was about ready to snap:

So on 7/13/2020 I ordered a new one from Kaiser Willys. On 7/14/2020 they told me it was back ordered. To get the Jeep ready for the trip, I welded/filed my old part to made it work:

I figured the new part would show up in a month or so and I'd swap it out.

...then I completely forgot about it.

    ...
    ...
    ...
    ...

...then yesterday to my complete and utter surprise, this showed up in the mail:

1 1/2 years later! I'm a little surprised Kaiser Willys didn't e-mail me first to see if I still wanted it before shipping.

I did that fix when I get my cj in 05 and still had to swap to heim joints in 2013 with the engine swap since it was worn again.
There simply isn't enough surface area or lubrication.

Managed to get two good coats on both sides:

Wanted to get that done today while I could heat the shop up to the mid 50s. The new shop heater is sized for an insulated shop and the insulation isn't in yet. Temperatures are supposed to start plummeting to the low teens for at least a week. There is no way I could get the shop warm enough to paint after today. On a good note, we're almost done running wires and the Shop should be insulated for next winter.

Hope to get the tires swapped on Monday.

I wish. When things settle down here some day, I'm going to keep my eyes open for a used tire machine and balancer. It would be so handy.
