Newbie needs a new speedometer cable. My CJ is 73, 3 speed. Everywhere I search it’s 4 speed. I can’t find one! Help.

I have read that a NAPA 615-1604 for an old Belair will work. I cannot personally confirm. I'll need one soon for my '74/T15 so I am following with interest.

Isn't the speedometer cable the same for a three speed or four speed? It attaches to the transfer case.
I took one off a Ford Falcon when I need one for my Willy's pickup.

It was the inner and the outer, I can see if you're just looking for the inner it would need to be the right length.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

    OEM 72/73/74 3 speed Jeep number : 5351778, 60" long.
4 speed cable is about 4-5" longer in length, 5351775.
Try a search using the Jeep number(s).

Au Contraire. Any FLAPS would have a universal inner core. Cut to length and swage the tip onto it.

They still have them! That was probably the only place I didn’t look. Many thanks.
