Window Latches Original? Exhaust Pic, Recommendations.

Newbie still learning. I assume these are not original to 73? Thanks. The “money pit” is coming along. After gauges then exhaust. Anybody have pics of an original 73 exhaust? Thoughts? Thx again.

Definitely factory original. Came with a factory-installed hard top. No catches then.

where would I be able to find such plates for the window latches... im taking mine off since im installing my Meyers top and I would like a cleaner look on the dash instead of the latches for the flip down windshield.

 

No aftermarket source that I have ever seen or heard of.

I’d check the FB CJ parts for sale forum. You could list an ad on the CJ Parts wanted also. I have had good luck there.

 

would the ones for a 76 and newer windshield work on a 74? I know the angle of the windshield is different but are the windshield hold downs different as well?

It's nice stuff, if you can get the old hardware out and the bolt holes can be used.

 

Different, won't work. Almost everything changes for 1976. Engines, front axle, outer body shell mostly, transfer case are the same. AMC made updates while accommodating their engines for 1972, then made a complete redesign for 1976.

 

I have seen those before but they are a little chunky was kinda hoping for something that was a little flatter like the originals.

Tools, when there's room in the budget, are an investment.
