    If I am deciphering the VIN plate correctly the Jeep is a 73 the color code is 515? Trans Am Red? What is a good site to get touch up paint? Thanks.

    jpflat2a what's that noise?

    Try your local auto paint store; some parts stores used to have body shop and paint supplies as well. (if they are open)
    515 = Trans Am red
    Ditzler code: 2400
    Dupont code: 5408

    I found paint online. But after almost 50 years of fading it wasn't quite a match.

    I recommend this company, they will make your factory color in a spray can, small touch up bottle or touch up pen.
    I’ve been using their spray can and touch up bottle and the match is perfectly spot on. They also have primer and clear coat in spray cans and touch up bottles.

    Went to the local auto paint shop. They were able to make me 2 spray cans and small bottle of touch up for a great price. Lot less than on line. Thanks.

    My local FLAPS paint counter mixed my color to match, with a flattening agent so it blended perfectly with the 50 year old paint.

    Red is one of the worst colors for fading, so even if you had the same batch of paint to touch it up, it still won't match perfectly. If you do get some code 515 paint mixed, don't expect it to match the rest of the Jeep. It may be close, but reds often need tweaking to get them to match better.
