I installed front disks on my 75. After chasing parts and trying to figure out what all I needed, I ended up buying a kit. Was around $500. And had everything I needed,.. I didn't have to chase around a JY to find parts that might be worn out to begin with.

I used Brennan's Geo disc brake brackets on My 74 CJ5 , No machining is Required.
The rotor fit's over the hub . Very easy conversion .

nice to know, sounds easier than the link posted, which might not work with the d-30 exactly as described in the link.

alas, i've already converted my intermediate to front discs using later d-30 knuckles and spindles, along with the disc brake components.

Anyone have a good parts list for the flex lines from the calipers to the hard lines, or adapters for the same? I have Brennan's plates, new rotors and calipers, but I haven't installed yet (waiting on a pilot bearing puller to try and get new spindle bearings installed).

I used jeep jk front lines had to grind the square banjo fitting to round to get them on the calipers, they have standard threads on the line end. brennens instructions mention s10 rear lines for the front with the lines on the tube

I used 1985 CJ5 parts on my 1973 D-30 Axle. I used junk yard spindles out parts, also got the Brake Diverter Valve.
