1975 Cj5 Engine Wiring Harness Mess!

I am in meed of assistance in identifying a plug receptacle in the under dash wiring of my 1975 CJ5.

Trying to upload photo. It’s square, about 1 inch by 3 inch. Has three rows of parallel female slots.

 

Sorry, I can't identify where you are in the Jeep. More pics, more context needed.

 

The harness was removed from the body in order to "fi" it. This mystery block is wired between the ignition switch and foot-operated dimmer switch.

 

Only thing that's large like that under the dash is the headlight switch. This does not look like '75 Jeep to me. Do you own the TSM? You can figure this out yourself by tracing the wires shown in the wiring diagram in the TSM. More Information for DETROIT IRON DCDC107 Cheap on CD-ROM.

A '75 has a fuse panel, mounted on a firewall bulkhead connector. Would help to have better pictures with more context. Pull back and show the harness laid out with the plug at the center. Also note that 1975 is a one-year version for wiring. Different from 1974 and different from 1976. More like 1976, but still significant differences.

 

I have a 75. I can look later.. But I do not recall that block. Just the fuse block. I too installed FI in mine..
