    Hello all,

I’m aware that my 63 is on a 3B frame and did not come with a V6. So I’m trying to see if this is the best I can do set up it keeps it simple. The previous owner did all this work so I’m just not sure if I should worry about changing it or just let it slide. I see that the grill has that sloped shape to it that I assume was to accommodate the smaller F engine radiator.
Would it be worth it to change it out to a better option or just keep it. I know the rods are supposed to go to the grill not the radiator as fabricated here. But I do see the value of both. Thoughts and help very much appreciated.

Does it overheat now? If not, I’d just leave it.

No it didn’t overheat when I was running it. And putting it all back together now so will have to keep an eye on that as it didn’t have very good gauges.

I was just trying to make it maybe not looks so weird if there was an easier way to do it

You'd have to paint one to match, but the grills from mid '69 to '71 V6's have ductwork to fit a 22" wide radiator. It looks about the right width for your radiator.

    Here's pictures of mine:

Thank you. So i assume the radiator bolts to the vent/shroud which is connected to the grill and the rods to the top of the engine bay?

Yes, the vent/shroud is a permanent part of the grill and there is a flange at the back with nut clips that radiator bolts to. You can see them in the first picture. The support rods attach to brackets permanently spot welded to the shroud.

Got it. Thanks. I guess now i am concerned that my current radiator which i just had patched and cleaned, might not land with the same holes as the vent/shroud to mount it right. I guess i just want to make it look more accurate even though there is a almost 60 year old engine in it. hmmmmmmm
