Parking Light Color

On the 1960 cj5 was the parking light clear or amber colored? I’m referring to the two small lights on the grill

 

Clear glass (yes, glass).

 

Just out of curiosity, when did the front parking light lenses get changed to the amber color?

 

Thought so. I’ve seen all different variations on jeeps and wanted to keep it original

 

I would guess when the light changed on the grille.
For cars i think the 62 could be clear and 63 became amber.

 

My 63' in my avatar photo has clear glass.

 

I can see lens being clear
but bulb should be amber . I think

 

I think '63 was the transition from clear glass to amber plastic. I've seen both on '63s. My '64 Tux has the amber plastic. These lenses have a "62" molded in them, so they were designed in 1962.

My 1960 when we got it. Wasn’t sure I’d this was changed or not

 

The clear plastic ones are back up lights on my Tux.
