How many approximate RPM is the PTO shaft spinning during a normal pull in first gear at a given RPM?

Are the PTO units geared 1:1? So it could be as simple as dividing RPM by the transmission gear ratio? (E.g., 2.5:1 first gear at 1000RPM would spin the shaft at 400RPM?)

IMO, pto winches are the best. I use 1st for winching and then 3rd or 4th for winding in the cable at idle speed.

Was there ever any doubt? Monstrously useful for serious work.
