    Hey Ya'All...... I received some 'Offenhauser' Aluminum finned Hi Rise Valve Covers for my unique Buick 231 in my CJ5, from a Fellow Member & Pal ! . They are heavy wall & they are very Cool ! :cool:

    Anyway, I'm asking your opinions on the gasket app for these kids.

    Some old timers just used grease on cork gaskets.

    I have used all kinds of stuff. Bottom line, make sure the valve covers are as flat as you can get them.

    I just use the black rtv in the pressurized tube now.. Use to use cork gaskets with sealant on the cover side, greased against the head.

    I've become a big fan of Fel-Pro's silicone/steel valve cover gaskets but I have no idea if they have any Buick applications. They certainly work better on sbc's than anything else I've used in 60 something years.
