Convertible Deck Lid Question

In the process of restoring my 67 Convertible. I have put the deck lid back in place but I am not sure where the fiberglass pieces go on either side. Not even sure what purpose they serve. Does anyone know why Jeep used them, and can anyone send me a picture of exactly where they mount in relation to the deck lid? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its been 40 years since I messed with a convertible Jeepster, but I seem to remember right and left corner trim pieces that just trim out the top rail of the inside corners. The turtle deck then just covers the whole rear top gate rail/side corner rails trims and gives an outside rail for the lower edge of the top to fasten to.

Donny, thanks for your answer, but I'm still not sure where exactly the corner trim pieces mount, do they mount towards the rear of the deck lid or towards the front. Someone had mentioned they mounted in front of the deck lid and for some reason I thought they mounted under the deck lid.

If I recall, the corner trims mount on the upper body rails in the rear corners, then the deck lid mounts over and closes on top of them. Does this make sense?

Donny, I would have thought the same thing, but there is no way these two pieces of trim will mount anywhere under the boot. I have been told they mount right in front of the boot, about 48 1/2" back from the door latch. But that places the pieces right in front of the boot, so I just don't know.

Donny, thanks, I hadn't seen that picture before, though I do wish it had dotted lines showing where the supports go. People have told me they have never put them back, but it is the small details that bother me!
