I’ve never had much luck with magnets after the first use. They clog up with shavings and become a headache after that. YMMV

Twin2 must be well-off to afford those high-falutin t-bar magnets.

Magnets are useful, but they keep/attract metal dust, need cleaning... work only on metal.

I have some of those, just not that expensive...

I also use these in various forms for tack things together...

This marketing strategy is not exactly confidence inspiring to get me to buy their product. It seems they just want to sell as many as they can.

I find that the magnetic clamps affect my welding when doing TIG work so I avoid them for that. I did use them for MIG and such but they do have a habit of coming loose at a bad moment or loosing alignment just enough to cause a headache later so mostly they just sit collecting filings.

To clean the magnetic holders, I use a wire brush. Work well enough...

I have a few of those vpads and a mag tab from strong hand tools and they work great. I use a small wire brush to clean off metal chips and grinding dust off the magnets.
