Some thoughts on the rig with spring driving.

I like the little engine more every time I drive it. I was putzing around this week on our forest roads, toying with it in 2wd. On a pretty decent incline, in 2HI, 2nd gear, it can walk right up it at idle.

Even with the 3.73, 4LO is pretty silly. I havent used 4LO for anything serious.

I have the vivid tune ~100 HP, figure about ~200TQ

Did you ad the the Vivid tune your self or have a shop do it for ya? That's a good jump in tq and hp

Def a noticeable change with the tune, and I got just the Stage 1. I was content with the stock power, but I’m super happy with the power now. The vehicle is not fast, in a car sense, but it’s got a ton of usable TQ for putzing around and getting work done.

I popped my ecu out and sent it in myself. Quick turnaround. Super easy. Right on the driver front inner fender.

I will one day VE pump swap this thing, but this works for now.

Would the VE pump make it all mechanical? I don't know a ton about diesels. Cool setup!

Yup. The Bosch HP pump uses the 3-bolt setup. I gotta source a spare motor and play around with it.

I have been wondering if that would work to make that motor mechanical, if I could get a mechanical lil diesel that would be awesome.
    Please keep us posted.

This little motor is sweet. That being said until the Roxor community gets things stripped down to mechanical, the Kubota is a good bet for lighter/early Jeeps. It's a proven mill and Overland Willys makes a T90 adapter.
