I 'm a Bit confused and embarrassed as to what front Diff & Axel set up I bought with my Rosie????
It has a Single shift lever, But I need it to finally warm up a bit in my shop to observe the operation of it! :waiting: I hopefully can get back to you later tomorrow with that info ?

Am I correct that this Differential & Axel is A Dana 30 ? :worry: No locker /turn dials on the Hubs?
    Any way that ya'all
could help me Identify from these pics would surely be appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,

Looks like intermediate D30 with hub plates, not the optional lockouts.

Don't be embarrassed. We weren't born with this information. A nice full pic of the front axle would be nice. I agreee with the above though.

Does it have an automatic? Is it a TH400? Required for Quadratrac.

The drive flanges are quadratac for D30. Where is your drag link?

Your front axle may or may not have come from a Q-trac equipped jeep, but your t-case isn't a Q-trac. It's a dana 20 (or 300? It's hard to tell in this pic.)

Hi Tim, It's a custom build with a 1984 Buick Turbo V6 bolted to an upgraded 1982 700R4 3 speed auto w/ overdrive. The frame was stretched to make it a fairly rare Automatic CJ5.
Question for you , kind Sir: The " Hub Plates " cover auto lockers ???

Judging by the oil fill location, it's a 20.

Sorry, I have no idea. You could take the covers off and look, but that would not tell you about the transfer case. They look like aftermarket dress-up covers to me. The Quadratrac is a full-time transfer case was used on many Jeeps with the TH400 automatic, 1973-79. There is no conversion available commercially to any other transmission, AFAIK. The Quadratrac outputs, front and rear, are offset to the passenger side equally. Why do you suspect it would be Quadratrac?

Note that there is the original Quadratrac, the Borg-Warner 13xx and a New Process NP219 (?) transfer case that Jeep called Quadratrac for Wagoneers from 1980 onward. Jeep recycled the name for the Grand Cherokee and a different full-time transfer case.

Thanks Tim..... I think you are 100% on the note that they are " dress-up covers " . This was done as a frame off restoration , then after research the P.O. started it in shows. I am going to take them off to see. It's been quite awhile since I was able to rekindle my mechanical skills . All of you fella's encouragement and knowledge helps enlighten me & I appreciate the support. I 've been doing other ' Projects, on this CJ & the suspension / Drivetrain is next . I Really want Lockers …. for the wear & tear and the gas mileage.-----Lockman

Fisrt picture is the rear axle...you can cleary see the end of the exhauts on the right side of the picture.

Will likely need a picture of the front wheel so we can tell what this is about.
