    Where to begin?
Last couple weeks, doing daily farm chores, bout 3 miles total, and 20-45min run time,
I've noticed some dragging or holding back when clutch is pushed in, and still rolling in reverse.
Today I went to back up to the shop, to unload yesterday's load firewood, and when clutch pressed in, the jeep stops, kinda feel a binding similar to crow hop?
It was in 4wd low with the hubs unlocked.
So I go to high and shift to 2wd, still happens, only in reverse.
After several forward 10 ft then reverse 10 feet drives, it loosened up.
Gear selector stick feels funny in 1st to reverse gate, 2nd to 3rd side feels fine?
    Where do I look?
    T case, or tranny?
    Feels like tranny ?
Also when in neutral idling, clutch out, it sometimes lurtches forward bout 6in, then stops.
Doesn't kill engine, it like it's trying to engauged gear then not?
    Anyone had a similar problem?
It's benn parked outside last couple days, single digits at night, could the gear oil be thick and causing the drag?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Two gears ar once will not allow any movement. You can take the top off of the transmission and shift into two gears at once and it'll be completely frozen.

If it were a 20 I'd say you were in high range for one axle an low for the other, but I think that's not possible with an 18.

I first thought clutch adjustment but maybe tire size? Are all tires the same size?

This is strange. Is the clutch disc sticking or linkage messed up, not disengaging good?

Sounds exactly like staying in four-wheel-drive on a hard surface.

Or, transmission is binding up a bearing(s). Checked the lube?

Just starting to look for the problem?
Tires all same. I'd shifted t case in and out several times, it feels like normal gate click.
The t90 stick feels funny in 1st reverse side?
Smooth into 1st, but draggie in reverse, and stiffish.
    Clutch is new(6 months old).
Should I pull the stick first?

Will Jack up and check all wheels and shafts first.
It does drip a little but I filled when clutch went in, I'll check but dout its low, cause it still drips.
The more I think bout it the more I feel like something in tranny or shift gate?

Seems I had a e brake issue way back? It's non functional at the moment!
All parts are in their and cable hooked up, just not tight enough to work.
    Think I'll look their first?

I don't remember whether these hubs spring to open or spring to locked. Cold weather and old grease could make them stick in one or the other.

    That's what I'm wondering.

The ones with the springs can be a pain. My thoughts exactly on the cold weather and old grease.

I had similar symptoms on a S10 Blazer. It turned out to be a transfer case mount that was loose.
