I like those hubs. Much easier to tell than mine with the two levers.

Well I started digging into the bed and found this. At this point I'm heading up to get some sheets of steel and making new sides. It will take me less time to replace than to deal with this mess...by the way. I hate rust

I’m interested to see this. Do you think you’ll roll the top rounded rail out of your sheet or make the top rail with a piece of pipe?

I'm thinking of cutting the original off since it's in good shape and welding to the new PC. We'll see I change my mind often lol

If you don't see it, it's not there. That's why I've been told people just paint over it.

Pickup up this heater out of a 56 wagon. I took it apart and blasted the parts then painted with some dauntless green I had left over. Now I have to find a 12 volt fan

What do you guys think about a darker saddle seat with the rest in the lighter saddle. I really like the lighter color but it's way cheaper to buy the seat cover pleated already

This is a better depiction of the lighter saddle. Washed out a bit in photo above

    Bowbender I'm workin' on it!

Darker might be a little more forgiving of dirt.

So you think it would look good with the darker seat and the rest of Interior in the lighter color ? Or you saying all dark

I found this random pic on the interweb, what do you think? I know it’s a Wagon but kinda sorta the same thing. (y) Is this what you’re thinking John? Obviously not exact colors to what you’re saying but the seats match the door inserts and the surrounds on the doors are darker? I kinda like this ? Maybe do yours opposite: darker seats, dark inserts and lighter surround? I believe whatever you do for the seats you should match the door panel in some way. Thoughts? [IMG]

The problem is if I buy the seat upholstery I'll never match the color exactly so I'm trying to work out the two tone thing. If I go all the same color I would have to do seat from scratch, not my thing. And I can't spend money to get it done. I really like the lighter color so I want that in there somewhere

I vote for the darker one. But either way it will look great.

The darker one reminds me of this. :clown:

I hear ya. I think either will look great but I think your other door/dash panels should tie into your seats somehow, not two different colors. Excited to see what you come up with, I’m sure it will look great like it always does

I got all the pcs of the heater cleaned up and painted. Also got a new 12 volt motor for it

After pressure testing the core I replaced the rusted metal tubes with brass ones

I knocked out the cover plate for the defroster vent. I found a fitting from a dust collector that fit the hole perfectly, some work on the band saw got it to fit nice and snug

I hooked up a battery charger to it and it works like new, now, having said that there is no way in hell this is going to warm up the truck in the winter enough for my wife to get in it lol we'll see. But it does look cool
