Question, on the wheel hubs I packed up the bearings at installation. Should I fill the extra space with more grease, or just the one on the bearings?

"You know you built it right because you had to built it twice."
Thats how i felt building my jeep. I feel like i had to do everything two or three times. The most annoying thing were when adding and "upgrade" causes three or four other parts to need modification to work.

You do really nice work and im sure you will forget about all the frustration once you get to drive it f or the first time.

I had to do the same thing with the studs I replaced on my '78 f150, which I think are the same or similar to Jeep studs. I bought Rayspestos, which I think used to be made in Massachusetts. I honestly thought I was crossthreading them when I first tried putting the nut on! [Grumble, grumble] they don't make them like they used to.....

Fill the gap between the bearings, about .75" all the way around. Keeps grease from slinging out and blocks water/grime from getting in.

I don't think I did a .75" as you said but surely put extra stuff behind both bearings. I plan to service them anyways within a few miles after I get it to run. (Someday soon). I fit-tested the calipers and as usual, a couple of issues! The spacers are too thick (minor stuff) and the rotors seem to be a little wobbly. I will have them cut this weekend. There is still a private autoparts store in my area that does it. Other than that, I think the next step is the bleeding.

Finally done with the brakes! "All" I need is to bleed them and to hope it does stop the jeep! I was building a vacuum reservoir to use my vacuum pump to bleed the lines. I think is a better way than to pump the pedal. I did not encounter any clearance issue with my setup.

This was the best way I found to route the brake hose that wouldn't rub against the tires.

I had to try "a few" times before I coud produce a decent brake line. But it is all good. I can make them now in a jiffy with confidence. I really like the brake tool I bought even when I had to learn a trick or two in order to get a good flare. If anyone needs it as a loaner, let me know.(y)

First attempt to bleed the brakes using vaccum seemed to go better than expected! I started in the rear right and got nothing, changed to the front and started to suck air and fluid until only fluid came out. Went back to the rear and relized that the bleeding screw was all crudded up inside. After poking it a bit it cleared and the vacuum worked as it should. I need to make a few tweaks to the mc but overall I am hapy.

Finally! Kind of "done" with the mechanical side of the build. I know a bunch if other stuff will come out later on, but on what I can do now I think I finished. Now working on the sheet metal monster...
I put the baby outside but with a cover so I can work sloooowly on the tub.

A while ago I bought an extra T90 top shifter to try the reverse light switch mod. It happened to be in better shape than mine so most likely will replace the other one. I gave it a try and I am happy with the results!

One of the things I liked about this top is that had plugs in all 4 rail ports. Don't know if they were modified or were like that originally. It had grooves for the return of the oil and all. As I started disassembling it one of the rail plugs got damaged beyond repair and I found out that a regular 1/2 plumbing copper cap works like a charm. All I had to do was to reduce the height by approx half.

First attempt to do a custom made knob. Not pleased with the results. I will try a different wood grain like walnut and probably smaller. This one is a tad large.
