Hello to all. Just joined and I'll try not to a pain in the a##.

I am rebuilding a 1969 cj5 with the v6 engine. I am currently rebuilding the steering knuckles and would like opinions on Lucas hub oil or corn grease. I have done a lot of searches on the products, but would like the opinions of members who may have used it.

    Thanks, CAJ

You will find a lot of us use Cornhead grease.

Knuckle Pudding is a great search key word.

Cornhead grease works good; Temperatures reach out here 118*-120* summer, winters are not that cold maybe 1 or 2 days of 34*-39*..

    Here's what Novak says:

Guess I will make my own too. Sounds like fun. Will have to track down some SAE 140 gear lube, and it will be two birds/one stone as that is what is specified for my vintage Troy-Bilt tiller.

    Bowbender I'm workin' on it!

Says it is lithium based, so may be more compatible with other lubes.
Corn head is urea based and apparently doesn't play well with other lubes.
