Beating a dead horse I know. I'm tired of friends, neighbors, and even strangers, asking me if I know my jeep is leaning?
The soft *** flex suspension makes it even worse, when I get out I have to straighten it back up, well cloze, it still leans a tad after I push it back.
I have a short spring I left out of my spring packs, that I'm planning on shortening to bout 12-18in, and installing like an overload spring.on 1 wheel only.
Question, place it left front or left rear?
I'm thinking front since thats where the offset engine is?
Ps I've already swaped left and right spring packs, no difference.
It is weight off center that causing the lean.
    Ideas?
    Opinions?

I intentionally put a weak main leaf in the passenger side front pack, Tonk sits pretty even with it.

So a stiff front drivers side is the same idea u did?
Any tendency to pull left or right when braking?
    Thanks

Nope not at all, nor do I notice any drop on the passenger side when braking hard- front end drop nice & level.

I have a new perfectly straight frame with new springs and new bushings. The spring eye and shackle mount are welded at exactly the same place on the frame. I am already getting a little bit of jeep lean. Why? I sit on that side. My remedy is to put 200LBS of weight on the passenger side!! No not really.

Cleaning out my basement, I came across most of a Jeep Corp leveling kit. It's a block that goes between the spring and the pad on the high side. You might try that before you rebuild your springs with more or fewer leaves.

BTW I think this kit is a band-aid to get new Jeeps through the warranty period without expensive spring replacement.

Custom spring packs solved my jeep lean. Knowing that I have a lot of non-stock added weight both front and rear I've found that the standard catalog offerings just don't cut. Nor do I want a soft ride. It's a truck not a pillow barge. One of the better spring shops around here set me up. He built each corner separately so no spring pack is the same.

I did that on my ‘68 Jeepster and it worked wonders for the first 5 years, then I sold it (not sure where it “stands” now almost 15 years later:whistle:)
It sure helped as we did all 4 springs based on my sitting in it with 1/2 a tank of gas - all 4 different

Body mounts failing can cause Jeep lean too.
3/4” of lean is acceptable, even brand new trucks have lean.
But anything more then that, check the body mounts, shackles, and springs.
side note, I had a frozen shackle causing my lean.

Body mounts, 1-14 oak plank, all new suspension (all replaced 2 years ago),
Just retorqued all spring mount bolts. It's the off center weight!,
Gonna add a leaf to Dr front.

Back in the day the dealers offered a shim kit due to complaints. The shims went between the springs and axle. I made my own got the lean from 3/4" to about 1/4"

I've never named my jeep. Maybe I should call her Eileen.

I'll have to look at mine a bit closer. All this time I just thought my front bumper was tweaked! :(
