Its still on the stand. I got your box awhile back, thanks for sending that. I haven't had a chance to go through everything so it's been sitting on my patio. I don't have a covered workspace so I've been working on other projects like cleaning and painting parts. I did manage to rebuild the T90 and Dana 18, they're on my living room floor until we get some dryer weather. Then I'll get them bolted to the little v6 and into the flattie.

Wasn't married yet but put together my 800 cc version of a Triumph TT on my kitchen table. Some things are just necessary.

I ported the my 93 mustang heads in the bathtub with a Dremel (slooooowwwww). It was making too much of a mess when I was doing it on the kitchen table. The bathtub kept the metal dust contained. That was many years pre-marriage.

Hows it going? Would love to hear and see more updates? What did you end up doing with the 198?

Thanks for asking. The 198 is on the stand. The Flattie is getting a rebuilt 225 instead. I really want to hear the 198 run because I'm confident it will as is, but it'll have to wait for the next project. Here's the Flattie as is, waiting for the motor to be assembled. The power steering bracket you sent is top notch. I think you made that if I remember right. I discovered that 225 alternator brackets will work for the 198 with a little grinding on the aluminum bracket so I went that route. The clutch and fuel pump you sent were very different than what was on my 198. The clutch you had is bigger than what was on mine and would not bolt onto my flywheel. I dunno if there were different flywheel options for the 198?

I did make that power steering bracket, don’t know about the flywheel, the engine was a 1962, don’t know if there were Any differences. Were you able to use the starter or alternator?

The starter looks the same as the one that came with my 198. Right now I have everything in storage. I found a 4bbl Offenhauser intake for the 198. I plan to use the motor, just need to find another Jeep to put it in...
