I just got a JB twin stick set up for my Dana 20. The Dana 20 is paired with a 4 speed. The instructions advise cutting the pivot bolt on the short shaft, does this apply to the long shaft that is on my Cj5?
The instructions were a bit vague on this. If anyone has done this swap please let me know your experience.

The levers will not clear the bolt on the end of the shaft at full throw. I recently did this mod on my super 18/ t18 conversion.

Is this the bolt that needs to be cut? I just like verification before cutting.

I thing you need to cut it.

Here's my tread about the twin stick install on the same combo you have.

I also document the modification for a fully workable twin stick while keeping the interlock pin.

Yes. It needs to be ground down flush with the mounting tube.

I did one on my D20. I also have a 4 spd.. As I recall I removed all the old crap and installed the twin stick stuff.. I remember shortening a bolt but I believe it was on the pivot for the sticks.. If I remember I'll crawl under there and take a few pix

As I recall from looking at your pic all that mess was removed. Mine is the short version. But same theory. You should have some extensions that connect to the shift rods and then to each stick individually
