I found what I am told is a Holley intake manifold for a Dauntless. I won’t be home for a few weeks so I haven’t seen it, and haven’t seen a pic yet. I’ve read a lot about guys running the Offy intake , but have not seen anything about a Holley. Any info on this, or why I haven’t heard of anyone using one?

Be sure it fits 225 Dauntless. Holley made some Buick v6 intakes but there are some port variations over the years that may be an issue. Also for everyday and off road you will want a dual plane design. Single or open plenum designs are for working in higher RPM bands you will lose some bottom end..

Thanks for the advice. Being I can’t see it prior to purchase I think I’ll pass on it!

Most Holley Intakes I know of were for the 231 and not the 225. I run a Kenne Bell Number One on the Red '51, but Offy Dual planes on the other.

I ran a Holly Street Dominator intake on my 225 for years. It's a single plane, split plenum design and as mentioned above, more suitable for high RPM use. I always had a mid range flat spot that I couldn't get rid of. I switched recently to an Offy dual port and it works better.

I run a Holley on the 231 in the 3b. Great intake with a 8007 390 cfm carb.
