Hi all, this may be a stupid question but here goes, have any of you experienced the dust covers on drag links that will not stay in place? Mine have worked their way down off of the link, and on to another part of the steering linkage.
I have to rebuild the link anyway and want to find a way to clamp the covers on for a more lasting protection.
Any and all advice will help!.

The metal covers should hold them on adequately. If you yours are stretched out, you can bend them back into shape or purchase new ones. I have seen some folks secure them with plastic electrical ties.

I have used saddle leather to make various things on the jeeps. It could be used in place of worn fabric and will last for many years.also handy to have in the shop for different jobs.mike
