I was looking at some f heads today at a friend’s shop and came across and really nice grab bar and an original ws strap. Does the strap stay attached to the hood or the windshield?

On my 5 it's on the windshield. It looks like it's been there since it rolled out of the dealer door. With the hard top looking like it's never off it's probably why it survived

Those grab handle bolts look perty shiney. Don't you have some bolts with a little patina?

Jeep needs a name now. I think of it as Ted's sibling but just doesn't feel right.

I’m thinking “Dozer” but I haven’t driven it enough yet.

I still haven’t named my ‘53 3A, and I’ve only been driving that for 10 years!

Haven't done much work to the CJ5 lately, but I did use it today to dig out the Titan's plow from winter storage. This jeep certainly has the farm jeep look about it.

Thanks to Mike, I now have updated bell cranks for this Jeep and myrestored ‘53. As expected, they are perfect!

    Just installed mine this week.
Super easy install, excellent quality and workmanship from McRuff once again!
Totally eliminated the floppy axial play at the bellcrank, major improvement to say the least.
If you have a floppy crank, there is a cure..........(y)

Started to play again with the cj5. I got the horn working ( my favorite part ) and put the 1957 license plates on it. I can’t find 56 anywhere. At least with the 57 ones, I could argue it is a leftover.

It also got to meet its new friends today too.

I brought the CJ5 out to its first car show last night. Didn’t win any trophies, but I did win a door prize of interior cleaning products and $75. This jeep looked so out of place next to all those shiney things.

Well, with those two CJ5's and truck load of parts I just acquired, there was a 60/40 it original looking condition. I opted to put it in the farm jeep rather than get the two original seats redone. I'm going to put a burlap sack on the bottoms for that "farmer fix".

Duct tape needs to go on the bottoms before you put on the burlap though.
