Anyone decided to hook up some permanent dash mounted winch controls? I've seen a couple of wiring diagrams out there and thought it might be worth the $10.00 in parts.

I have that one. It cost me $29.99 and was an easy install. Wouldn't cost near that much to make yourself. But I would still buy it again. It comes with an in & out switch and a master arm switch that lights up when activated to avoid accidents. It also comes with good instructions and diagrams for hooking up to several different types of winches. Only bad thing was that it came with about five feet or so of wiring behind the control which wasn't near enough to go from the dash to the winch so I bought a cheap extension cord and used it to run the three wires the rest of the way.

I monuted my controls in my dash. Since i was modifying the Bellview for a handheld control it was total custom job. I got a length of 3 wire cable and got a used hand controller and used a 4 prong trailer plug round connector in the dash and the other end of the connector on the hand control. it was pretty easy.

I saw a couple of wiring diagrams (one on a Suzuki 4x4 site) and it seemed kinda easy. I think I'll put it straight into the dash if it will be cheaper than $30.00 -- but it does look like a clean setup.

This guy will make you a custom panel. I've never bought from here so I don't know the prices but they look nice.
