This is the same idea Pete mentioned: both discharge into a common regulator and moisture traps/filters. I need to improve my setup someday, I basically used things I had on hand and need another ball valve on the vertical inlet, have one on the compressor outlet.

Now that I believe needs to be checked into further.

Yes. Honda industrial engines can't be beat for one thing. Quincy for another. I'd find out what they go for new to give you a perspective of value also.

Jeez Glenn! Are you running a sandblasting business out of your garage?

Not a business but I definitely did a bunch of sandblasting on multiple vehicles. :D

The seller has used for the last 4 years to blow our sprinklers, but now has a pull behind trailer type. It was a rental unit prior to his use. :susp:

Definitely some good info there, but the selection guide somewhat contradicts what the buying guide describes. Definitely a lot to consider with all of the available compressors out there.

For a quality reference of course there is no guarantee....it's just like buying new vehicles. In the late '70s I bought a 2 hp Craftsman, best one they had. Over the years I worked it pretty darn hard. Around 10 or 12 years ago the pressure switch quit working so I retired it and bought that Husky in the picture. A few years ago I gave the Craftsman to my son in law and with a new pressure switch it's still a good compressor at close to 40 years old.

The Husky on the other hand is a different story. The flywheel on it is very heavy, and I have replaced the bearings on both ends of the crankshaft several times. Last time I did it is when I decided to get the Quincy, that was in '09.

Kinda dirty but here's mine. My uncle picked it up at an auction for $100. Date stamped on it 45 i think.

Bear in mind "gas horses" are a lot smaller than "electric horses" in the real world.

On the other hand, it's alot easier to power up 10 horses or more with gasoline, than on an electric circuit.

Online shows it at 22 amps. so it will need a 30 amp breaker. Don't let that be a deal breaker. It does look like a good deal. Says bought at Home Depot? Didn't know they sold Kobalt.

That part doesn't make sense. He does provide 2 links, one for the HD Husky and the other for the Lowes Kobalt. Maybe he's just not good at posting ads?

He also says 600 is his firm price, but the listing is for 500.
