    Using two compressors can be effective - but they may need to be wired on separate eclectric circuits.

    A workaround in some applications can be to just add an auxilliary storage tank.

    The extra capacity can effectively run high consumption tools, on an intermittant duty cycle.

    I have seen that work quite well...

    Price is right, but it's probably an oilless compressor like you have.

    Yeah, I'm not really interested in it, but was posting it due to the extra tank idea. I wonder how much it helps?

    It just makes everything happen in slow motion. Takes longer to drain/kick the compressor on, but it also takes longer to fill back up.

    Consider getting a second similar compressor to what you already have. You can easily rig a simple manifold to combine the output hoses of each to a common hose.
    I have a sandblaster that my 80 gallon Ingersol will run with a small nozzle, but I can combine two other smaller compressors to run a larger nozzle for production work.
    Just an option when you need more pressure/cfm.

    Precisely.
    I have even plumbed up large propane tanks. (Use a dash of bleach to kill the smell!)

    Manifold = T-fitting.
    Simple plumbing parts, with some standard air couplers.

    What about those small 4hp gas wheelbarrow type?

    What are the CFM specs? Are they electric start?

    Na, not really. ;) Just representing what I learned over time about quality.

    Those are really built for stuff like nail guns, kinda same idea with a pancake compressor. Small reservoirs mean the working pressure remains more consistent.
