    Hi all,

    So I have a 1959 CJ5 with a drawbar on the back.

I am curious how to mount stuff to this. I am looking to attach a fold up cargo rack, something like this.

Is it possible to mount a 2" receiver hitch to the drawbar? or something like that? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

Sure. Fab an adapter and bolt it on.

Or just buy one and bolt it on. :) They make them with a plate that will work fine. I had one on my 3B but took it back off because I didn't really like it and figured I probably would never really use it.

Any idea who makes them ? I found one that has a mount for tractor but not sure if the spacing is right on the holes. Should i be concerned about the amount of weight i put on the draw bar?

I didn't know that. I was thinking a guy could wrld ine to a plate... But if it's already done then, heck... Easy.

If I remember right it was in the towing related section of a parts store. Lots of times you'll see that type bolted or welded to an older step bumper on a pickup.

You'll probably have to drill holes to mount it. Don't worry about the weight because the back of the Jeep will sag before the drawbar is overloaded.

Yeah, that's way too much just for that. What I bought was way less $$.
