Do We Weld The Heater Delete Plates In Or Bolt Them?

    I bolted mine using the existing holes. I also used a much smaller gauge of steel.

    Thx. it's bolted in now, the sheet metal is so thin I don't think I can weld to it anyway.

    I put a backing plate on as well, both are 1/8" plate. Hoping to eliminate some flex with the thicker plate. Guessing I'll need to add reinforcement welded in to the cowl area to keep everything solid. Working on fabbing a new brake pedal now.

    My 62 out of Miss. came with a stock delete plate on it and its screwed in.
