The stock Radiator on my 1970 V6 CJ5 is seeping from every possible location. The larger size radiator in the 70 model is almost impossible to find, and where I do find it it is very expensive. Recording it also seems to be very expensive . Does anybody know of another vehicle's radiator that will drop in at the same width as the stock one? I know that early model Mustang radiator should have the cooling capability, but my stock radiator is way wider than 17 inches.

What do you consider expensive? A recore should cost maybe $300-400, depending on the shop. Most "radiator shops" don't do recores anymore, instead just selling commodity radiators and installation. You'd have to shop around to find a shop that actually repairs radiators.

My memory says this topic comes up pretty often ... I don't own one of these Jeeps, so I don't recall the specifics. Here's a search that may help you - site:earlycj5.com 1970 1971 225 Dauntless radiator replacement - Bing

Discussed often as Tim mentions. Search and find the best one for you. Most require some type of fabrication/modification for mounting.

Champion and there other models seem to work fine....you may already have found these and they are not cheap...I know this link goes to an out of stock listing, but it will at least give you starting point if needed.
