Old School Air Conditioning?

    Any thoughts on what this is called and how to get new ones. This is on the cj6 that I'm restomodding

    They did not come with your CJ6 originally. Some previous owner added them in.

    Good point--don't look for a Jeep replacement.

    I'm just struggling to find replacements that match period. I've googled till my fingers bled. It's just a matter of finding who made them or exactly what they were called. I've cleaned them up and I might be able to repair the latches, but it s unlikely. Can't find a name anywhere on them

    The DJ 5 Postal Jeeps used a footwell vent in that approximate location, only a little larger. You might have more success looking for one from a DJ 5.

  7. I think they have new modern ones still used on UPS trucks and such. If your trying to match the old hole it might be easier to get a new slightly larger one and just make the hole bigger to fit new one

    Looks like there is a problem below that vent with the sheet metal ????

    GMC and Chevy pickups from the same time period had simular ones, one on each side with the door in the side panels under the dash. Ford F100 and 250 pickups also.

    Yeah. Previous owner tinned it up in a few spots
