So sorry for your losses . Hate to see that and to see such a beautiful jeep end up like that lots of salvageable parts left try to save it and rebuild it again don't let it go to the scrap yard in a enddump with the cleanup debris.

I can't even imagine it. I am so so sorry as I'm sure everyone here is that followed your build. Your work was amazing and loved the finished product. I can certainly understand the hard part about even contemplating another build. But just remember, 'thing' can be replaced, people can't be. And we still have you here to give your invaluable knowledge to others.

Another lesson here is to be sure our rigs are insured for the right amounts. I just had mine upped after I ran the numbers of what I had in it.

That's very sad but you are still here to post so it's all relative. I'd say health trumps Stuff any day.

Only a Jeep lover can know your loss. Restoring it makes it a different jeep with a different personality so consider it. Very sorry for your loss.

There is nothing to use to rebuild. To melt the wildshield it had to be at least 2400 degrees at some point. i salvaged the grill, tailgate and a bottle opener on the spare tire carrier. Those will be resurrected as patio art for my new outdoor kitchen/bar. Looking at a '99 TJ with a Golen 4.6 Stroker. Hagerty was good to me. I did what I wanted to accomplish with this Jeep and enjoyed it. Nothing will ever replace it and I think I don't have another multi-year restoration in me, but I did spy a '62 with only scorching on the drivers front fender in my neighborhood (hmmm)?

Same here! I just finished reading through the whole thread then wow! Wasn’t expecting that, glad you all are ok. Really puts into perspective these Jeeps are just things and things can be replaced. I can’t even imagine though...

Just a thought... cut the “JEEP” from the side panels, transplant them into/onto the Tj, its a DNA thing.;)
