    More progress.
I made this bracket for the ARB solenoid.

Painted with air hose fittings. I plan to just run an air hose to it from my air tank.

Ran the ARB airline up the vent from the diff. The vent line runs to a filter on the firewall. I am still not sure where I am going to mount the solenoid. On the firewall or in the cabin. Air tank is under the driver seat.

And finally the diff guard off my D27, the D27 and D30 covers have the same bolt pattern.

I am just waiting for the new u-bolt plates and I need to finish wiring and plumbing the ARB.

I will admit...... I've never seen one mounted like that. Let me know if it works.

I cut a slot to fit between the 2 pieces of the solenoid and there is a small "bar" to hold it in place, that is what the bolts are doing.

I was thinking about this some more. On an ARB compressor the solenoid is mounted to the compressor. I think I may just mount mine to the tank. Going to mess with it today. Progress updates later.

I am pretty sure this will work. Tapped directly into my tank. I have a filter and shut off gauge under the hood before the tank set to 100 psi. Now I need to re route the airline from the axle and wire the switch and solenoid. Pic of the solenoid mounted on the tank later this evening.
This is looking down from above. My only concern is if it is safe there. It is facing toward the back of the Jeep.

hard to tell where it's at in the jeep? Is the tank in the jeep, under the jeep, or under the hood? As long as it has an air supply and the valve isn't hindered, you're good.

    Thanks jeepermc.
The tank is under the driver seat. The solenoid is next to the drivers seat between the seat and the side of the body. Hopefully I get some time to play with it tonight. I plan to run the air to the ARB through the firewall and along the inside of the body to the solenoid. I may try to make something to protect it a little. I also need to install the switch and wire it.
    More to follow.

I don't want to throw a wrench into the works but, I think your plan as you describe (tapped directly into the tank) is a bad idea. That is, if I am understanding what you are saying. Are you saying, drill hole and tap threads directly into the tank shell? Or are you saying, drill hole, bevel for a full penetration weld of threaded boss into the tanks shell? Why not just tee off of the existing tank connection for the regulator?

Yes the picture does not do it justice. I already have it a T and it is attached there. It is actually sitting below the release valve in the picture attached at the T. I'll see if I can get a better pic.

I have a working ARB. I am still waiting for the u-bolt skids. I ordered a pair that did not work so now I am back to Rocky Road Outfitters that I am hoping will be here soon. That and bleeding the brakes are all that is left.
Solenoid on the air tank. I may try to protect it somehow.

ARB switch in the dash. The PO cut a huge hole in the dash for a speaker. I made this plate to mount the switch. I can add other switches if needed.

Jeff, ...........If those don't make it , I ran across these Confir skid plates the other day.................bolt pattern 2.250" x 3.00" 1/2" bolt hole and these are for the early 1.750" wide spring............the only problem is these are both left sides , but one could be altered to use on the right side to get around the one U-bolt that is wider at the housing..............[IMG]

    Thanks Tarry,
I'll keep those in mind. That darn D30 with the wider u-bolt on the passenger side.

For the wheel u-joints the Spicer PN is 5-260x. I picked them up at Autozone for $31.99 ea.. The store brand was actually Spicer.

Sorry about that, need to learn to read better. I shopped around, they were Spicer and the best price I found was on Amazon, with free shipping. $54 ea. I also checked Ebay and my FLAPS. Big discrepancy in pricing out there. Summit has them for $48.97 but you need to spend $99 for free shipping and that puts you just under it with 2.

Final piece to the puzzle added today. The U-Bolt skids are pretty beefy. Sorry for the bad picture.
    20170426_122735.jpg
Now I just need to bleed the brakes, throw the wheels on and take it for a spin.
