4wd Is Broken

    Thanks for the info. Since it is a bellows type boot, I assume it allows for a lot of movement, right? There is so much throw on a T-98, you could'nt speed shift it if you wanted to.

    Does it come with a plate for the bottom of the boot, or can that be ordered? If not, I can make one...

    It has a 2-part flange at the bottom, and the bottom flap is designed to tuck under the carpet (or into the floor opening like I did). I'm sure there are better options out there, but for the price of free, I made it work and it works just fine.

    I think the T-18 and T-98 have the same throw?

    Maybe an M38A1 boot would work?

    I've been pulling shift boots from mid 60's - late 70's ford trucks with manual transmissions. Like $2.00 at the u pull yards and work pretty well.

    My T18 came out of a later 80's F250 and I grabbed the boot when I found the tranny at a wrecking yard. It looks a lot like the Volvo one mentioned above.
