Moderator put this where you think it needs to be please.
The weather is getting nicer again so I can work on jeep projects again.
One of them is a viable power steering pump bracket for the ham can style GM pumps.
I have one that a friend of Nick Miller's loaned me but it has the York compressor mount on top. This is not the easiest mount to make for a decent price for most user. I am going to try and make a mount that fits the ham can pump and fits nicely in the engine bay. The high mount is in the way, the low mount hangs to low and the mount I have fits nicely but is complicated to make. Its made for the late 70's early 80's Regals and such. I'm going to try a combination of them but I need some info.

I really need the dimensions of these pumps from the machined face of the cylinder head they are attached to, to the centerline of the V belt pulley slot. This is to verify against the (2) I have, the one in my jeep and the one sent to me that is mounted to a spare cylinder head. A picture of how your pump sits on your engine in the vehicle would also help.

    Thanks!!

I would give you a measurement, but I am not sure it will be correct. I have a double pulley on mine.

Double pulley on the pump or engine?
My factory Dauntless engine came with a double pulley on the engine and water pump.
    Thats normal!

Never seen a double pulley on a power steering pump.

my engine is a 66 buick skylark engine. The double pulley was the only one I could buy new after mine didn't line up right. Why? I donno.

I just tried to take apic, but is dark out, no lights and my flash has decided to not work. From the head to the farthest front side of the forward part of the mount that bolts to the ham can is about 4 3/4. That might not be fully right as its dark where I park. Unless someone steps up, I will take some pics tomorrow.

    Mike,

If the dimension from a Commando will work, I'll get a measurement in a day or two.

Bolted this up today. Dunno yr/exact application. Came out of tarry99's stores. Ham can on order from rock. Think I have correct pulley. Not much help but its 3 5/8 from head to inside of bracket. IMG_20161016_181723_636-1.jpg

As best as I can measure my power steering bracket appears to set my double pulley at 4 & 7/8 and 5 & 3/4. I held the tape to the bracket a few minutes ago this is to the head.
