Should I stop what I'm doing and have somebody who knows what they are doing come over?

You're just barely disengaging the clutch at that point. You need more pedal travel. Try to adjust it to where I'm suggesting. It won't hurt anything to do that and get a little bit of experience. I would definitely have someone knowledgeable come over and help you too.

Reconnect the return spring before you do any more adjusting also.

Im done until a friend comes over. Noise is gone now. Was it my 1/8" adjustment?

It might have been. Was there even less free play before that little bit of adjustment?

Idk. I cant feel "freeplay". As soon as there is tension on the pedal, thats all i feel. I will post up what someone smarter than me says once he looks.

By free play I mean when the pedal is all the way up, how far does it push down before there is tension on it. There should be around an inch or a little less...3/4" to 1" is good. That is why the return spring needs to be on there for proper adjustment.

To clarify pedal travel I mean engaged pedal travel....in other words effectively disengaging the clutch.

Ahhhh...i get it now...its better. Still more than 1", but im not doing anything more until an experienced friend is over.

Too much travel. And is the wear in the z bar normal? The holes shouldnt be egg shaped?

Holes should definitely be round. All of the looseness makes it impossible to properly adjust your clutch. You've probably got that figured out already of course. :)

I have welded up those oval holes and redrilled them. I left a little bit more material making it thicker, and so far, shows no wear.

My friend suggested that as well, but im buying the rebuild kit for 50 bucks.
Can you replace the clutch cable without dropping the tranny?

We are going to weld up the "egg" on the main peddle bracket though. 20160919_174823.jpg

Here is what i ordered. Bushings have been gone since who knows when. The ball studs are obliterated, etc....

Very similar kit I bought from them for the v-6 application. You'll need 2 cotter pins still and I was able to replace the clutch cable on the Dauntless without dropping the tranny. The replacement was heavier duty than the one I replaced, and fit great. The ball studs were larger too. There is a video from Walck's on removal and install of a new Bellcrank.
