You guys have posted up a lot of funny stuff lately.

Is that just a starter motor connected to reduction gearbox? Looks like something we would do on the farm and be proud of it. I might have those parts kicking around in my shop right now!

 

His awesome winch is obscuring his driver's side headlamp! That is scary. Better be home by dusk.

looks like it. in a pinch i would make something like that work but only if needed. amazing what some people do. i'm sure osha would approve of this setup.

I got an extra starter motor and gear reduction box........gots a welder too...

 

There is a guy on ebay right now offering the same spool and reducer for $300, GO FISH!

 

I still love that mess.

 

Maybe I should take a picture of my bomb winch motor setup. It has a gear ratio of 600:1 I think. It does run fwd and rev. Chain driven sprockets but the 60 link chain is broken. I tried winching too big of a tree plus it was about 80 feet long.

 

Damn shame you live so far away Chris, one day we gotta have a beer and stick some metal together.. lol
