I am not sure if it is something able to fix, but the needle is falling off the center shaft of the speedometer. How is the needle attached to the center shaft?

Ugh. I hate when that happens.

Staying tuned to see if there's a fix. I have a few of them that are like that.

It just presses onto the shaft

I pulled it apart last night and it just flops like it is not supported by anything but the dampener springs around it. I cannot pull it from the center without the spring going with it, but it just kind of dangles with no purpose. If i put Viagra cream on it, maybe it would get upright, but for only an hour or so ;)
I will probably just get a new one

Or find a used one for parts. The one in mine I built from 3 different speedometer heads. One of the odometer numerals is slightly off color, but other than that it's like new..

The pin (shaft) with the spring and pointrer is supposed to be securely fixed to the speed cup. It should not wiggle around. Shaft broken?

This is for a 2a? I bought a new one. 100 bucks or so. Works and performs as original.
