Don't your replacement rockers have a flange to lap up behind the remaining body steel?

Slow and steady wins the race on a long stitch like that for sure!

Had some time to work on my trans tunnel I got from another member here, thanks chuck. Here’s is the original tunnel.

This is a much better starting point.

Peeled off the old toolbox remnants. Cutting the spot welds with a drill bit is therapeutic.

    flipped it over

Removed the support channel and cleaned up

first patch panel which should have been like the second, a bit larger.

Second patch panel I put a little bend in it towards the bottom.

    Looks better.

it’s all sqaure still so that’s a bonus, even though the rear floor riser is sagging from being drilled out.

Ok I've been in limbo waiting on parts. As seen in my above photos my trans shifter cover was rusted beyond repair, the removable piece. As was the trans tunnel which I acquired from another member. I ordered a few parts from walcks and they arrived. I ordered a new tool box, trans shifter cover and vacuum fuel pump for my 55 from walcks. I received all those items and test fit them and they work. It's going to take some massaging to get the tool box to fit and the rolled beads don't line up with the rolled beads on the rear floor but I don't care. The tool box also has Jeep in raised letters on front. I'm currently waiting for classic to ship me a rear floor riser to complete the square area of the front floor pans. I ordered that part over a month ago so if you order from classic be prepared for long lead times.
I did do some hammer and dolly work to get the rocker panels to fit better at the front area where they meet the firewall. The rocker panel was sitting proud by 1/8". I hammer and dollied that area and ground some material down as well. Filled some spot weld drill holes etc. One step at a time.

Poke Classic to get that floor riser and start burning some medal. I agree that I would wait on that before moving on to any of your other interior welding. This is going to be a great Jeep!

Thanks, it’s a decent little top. It keeps rain and snow out for short term storage.

Trying to rebuild this thread but the pics are all messed up and when I try to add a new pic the spacing is all jacked up. Here are a few photos of the Renegade 1 Kelsey Hayes wheels I picked up on eBay a couple years ago. I have 4 good ones but I wanted a spare and figured having extra can't hurt.
