I’m too much of a noob to visualize how it is used. How about a demonstration photo? :coffee:

The rain blew through and the sun came out. Good time to pop the cage back in.

Got my steering column finished and painted, re-bent my shifter cane and painted it, and started mocking up the install of my power steering.

I'll have more pics in my 5A resto-mod thread. These pics are before paint.

I worked on test fitting the tub on the chassis:

It turns out the mounting holes in the tub don't line up with the brackets on the frame. This isn't a big surprise, since the replacement frame isn't the same year as the tub. I need to drill new holes in the tub, but before I do that, I need to determine the exact position of the tub on the frame. In order to find the correct position, I need to bolt the fenders and front grill to the tub so I can line everything up, front-to-back and side-to-side.

I had to trim the inner fenders to account for the different locations of the shock mounts and to accommodate the steering box.

I'm ready to drill new holes in the tub.

This is one stout piece and I am impressed both with their service and workmanship.

Last week I mounted the jeep tub and fenders, but I had to cut the driver's side fender to clear the steering box:

ITLKSEZ convinced me this would be a squeak generator as the frame flexes and bends. There needs to be more clearance between the fender and the steering box. This week I cut out the interfering section:

I cut out a piece of 16g to make a shield:

I bent the piece of metal by hand in a vice, tacked it to the fender, and then cut pieces for the top of the box, carefully matching the curves in the fender:

I also drilled holes in the tub and temporarily bolted it down:

Those wheels would look better if they were painted black.

Nice rig, nice project, carry on! (y)

Swapped out my old burnt points and condenser today, what a HUGE diffence that made for my little 134! I now have all new ignition components (cap, rotor, coil, wires, points, condenser and plugs) and looking back, maybe should have just looked into Pertronix? Oh well, I’m very happy with how it’s running now (y) super smooth
