I built this carrier bearing setup for my jeep yesterday. The PTO shaft would hit the transfer case when in 3rd or 4th gear and make the jeep sound like it was going to blow up. Solved that problem!

Nice, I haven't seen a PTO ran up the passenger side on a jeep before. It must just clear the top of the transfercase.

You won't because it will not fit from the factory.

Interesting! Evidently I somehow missed the first page of this build when it started. I'd seen all the later ones. (y)

I pulled the Jeep out of the garage now that the snow is gone...It started right up. I took it for a spin locking and unlocking hubs to get the juices flowing.

Then I did what Scott posted in his rear disc brake thread. No air. (y)

this is the only place they stick below the frame at all,and its only this one.way better than bashed leaky fenderwell headers and side pipes.

I worked all day to get jeep parts $. Pulled, tore down and inspected my ross box when I got. Now I'm spending said $ to get parts for the ross box.

Doing it again tomorrow... rinse, lather, repeat?

Farm Jeep Willy has been loaned out through the blizzard and clean up to my friend ******* who owns Berkosky Towing. It's been sneaking into places his rollback can't fit to deliver jump starts and roadside fixes. It probably comes home tomorrow, for a serious washing to be sure all the evil salt is gone.

Started working on swapping out the old high back seats for the new Bestop low backs. Hope to have finished tomorrow. (I will post pictures when all done)

Dragged the jeep pick up out of the five foot snow bank and started stripping it for some upgrades. Didn't think max had it in him, got smoke off all four tires.

Are the Besttop seats tall enough to mount on the floor without the stock seat mounts or will you have to fab some taller mounts like on the original seats?

I think they would be a bit on the low side mounting directly to the floor. I mounted the new seats to the original seat frames and the height is perfect. They were a direct bolt in which was nice! The rear fixed bench was an easy install too. My jeep had a bench in it at one time so only a small adjustment was needed.

I picked up my engine from the machine shop today.

My frame is still at a buddy's shop. We've been doing a little strengthening. Still need to paint it before I can start putting it all back together.

I've got to get through my daughter's softball season and turkey season. Then I can get serious again!

I stopped by the machine shop to find out that they still haven't bored the block. Then I installed new knuckles, knuckle bearings, front wheel bearings and seals, tie rod ends, front shoes, wheel cylinders, brake hoses and master cylinder.

I despise parts cleaning but its a major delay of game to put off. Couple hours with the cup brush in a grinder. Spray bomb primer and paint. Got the shock mounts moved to behind the axle. Cut off the v6 front axle bumper on the frame rail.
